Mintia A. Striker
Died Dec. 14, 2003

IRONDALE – Mintia A. Striker, 83, of Pioneer Street, died suddenly at her home on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003. She became the daughter of the late Jeddie and Mintie Elkins Spence on July 13, 1920, in Wellsville, Ohio.
Mrs. Striker was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her husband, Russell Striker whom she married March 1, 1937, died on July 6, 1987.
She is survived by a son, Russell Striker and his wife, Rosemary of Irondale; a brother, Jeddie Spence of East Liverpool; five grandchildren, Richard Striker and his wife Andrea of Irondale, Carla Gampolo and her husband Jeff of Steubenville, Thomas Striker of Toronto, David Hooper and his wife, Kelli of Toronto and Daniel Striker and his wife Cristy of Irondale; as well as six great-grandchildren, Nichole, Michele and Danielle Striker all of Irondale and Alyssa, Chucky and Brien Striker also of Irondale.
Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Mae Striker on May 8, 1994; two brothers, Harry and Alvin Spencer; and three sisters, Daisy Fishback, Goldie and Florence Gibas
Services will be held at the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Home in Wellsville on Wednesday at 1 p.m., with pastor Sandra Payette of Irondale United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Hammondsville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Wellsville from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
