East Palestine – Rose Bozzo, 99, of West Main Street died at 1:27 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 1997, at Salem Community Hospital where she was a patient for the past 11 days.

She was born in Cozenza, Italy, March 25, 1898, a daughter of the late Fank and Theresa Saporiot Calentino.

Mrs. Bozzo came to East Palesting from Italy as a youth. Whe was employed for 25 years as a decorator with the former W. S. George Pottery and later Robyal China prior to retiring in 1962.

She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

Her husband, Frank Bozzo, died in February 1936. She also was preceded in death by six half-brothers, Frank, Sam, James, and Guy Vocature, and August and Gene Oates; and a grandson, William Warner.

She is survived by a son, John Bozzo of Munroe Falls, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Clara Archibald of East Palestine, Mrs. Mary Warner of Munroe Falls, and Mrs. Mafelda Muscarella of Sharpsbille, Pa.; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Daniel Cipar will be celebrant of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial is to be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday, where a vigil service will be held at 9 p.m.
