Albert Powell, 444 West Fourth St., died Monday at 9:20 p.m. in City Hospital following a brief illness. He was 72.
Mr. Powell was a retired carpenter. He was born in New Kensington, Pa., and came to East Liverpool about 15 years ago from Canonsburg, Pa. He had been retired for seven years.
He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Henry Hackathorn of East Liverpool; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Huber of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Lillian Rager of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, J. W. Powell of East Liverpool; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Erma Lovejoy of New Castle, Pa., Mrs. Joseph Myers of East Liverpool, and Mrs. Charles Cartin of Canonsburg, and a step-son, Arthur Brown of Gary, Ind.
Rites will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Arner Home for Funerals by Rev. William H. Lawrence, pastor of the first United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery.
