Clarence R. Ward, 57, formerly of East Liverpool, died Sunday in the U. S. Veterans Hospital at Albuquerque, N. M., where he had been a patient for six months.
A potter, Ward left East Liverpool about eight years ago for Phoenix, Ariz. He was born in Portland, Meigs County, and spent most of his life in East Liverpool. He was a kilnman for the Harker Pottery Co. for many years. Ward was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church and Local Union 9, IBOP.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Margaret Ward of Albuquerque, four sisters and two brothers, all except one in Portland. Lawrence Ward of Tucson, Ariz., and also a former East Liverpool resident, is a brother.
Rites will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Strong-Thorn Funeral home in Albuquerque. Burial will be there.
