Roderick D. Heddle, 71, of Neptune Ave., Chester and formerly of Florida, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at East Liverpool City Hospital following a sudden illness.
He was born August 22, 1938, in Providence, RI, a son of the late David and Madeline Green Heddle.
A true entrepreneur in every sense of the word, Rod had owned and operated several different businesses. He was a thirty second degree Mason, a Shriner and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Joan L. Heddle, at home; three daughters, Sharon and Tracey Heddle of Connecticut, and Linda Beth Heddle of Florida; three stepdaughters, Sharyn Vinci of Chester, Linda Lee Vinci and Michelle Pelletier and husband Wayne of Florida; two stepsons, John Vinci and wife Sharon Nusser-Vinci of Georgetown and Mike Vinci and wife Stephany of East Liverpool; a sister Marion Whippie and husband Dick of New Hampshire; 14 grandchildren, John Vinci III, Nichole, Josh and Paiten Vinci, Tasha Bradford-Hall, Renee, Amber, and Ashley Pelletier, Kace Shmigal, Eric and Becky Herb, Tiffeny Heddle, Mark and Josh Fuller, and Lauren and Jarred Linville.
Private family services are planned at the Arner Funeral Chapel.
