COLLIERS, W.Va. – Services were held for Lexie G. Anderson, 91, who died Tuesday, July 17 2001, at the Weirton Medical Center.
She was born in Doddridge County, W.Va., June 13, 1910, a daughter of the late Jessie and Alice Davis Gains.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Elk Lick Church of God and attended the Colliers Way Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. “Tip” Anderson; a son, Lewis Ray Anderson; and a daughter, Ester Marie Vandruff.
She is survived y two daughters, Violet Lancaster of Colliers and Olive Anderson of Ashley, W.Va.; three sons, Leslie C. Anderson of
Shirley W.Va., Robert Anderson of Woodfield, Ohio and Charles E. Anderson of Shirley; two sisters, Lona Ferrebee of East Liverpool and Zelma Gains of Ohio; a brother, Eddie Gains of Hundred, W.Va.; 38 grandchildren; 49 great0grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The Spurgeon Funeral Home in West Union, W.Va., was in charge of services. Burial was in the Center Point Christian Church Cemetery in Center Point, W.Va.
