ROCKEY, VENIA MAE HEPBURN DeVAUL, of Charles Street, Wellsburg, WV, died November 14, 2001, in the Catholic Knights of America, Wellsburg, ;WV. She was born July 13, 1913, in Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clinton and Bertha Crosby Hepburn. She retired from the Virginia Shop of Wellsburg with 24 years of service. She was a member of the Wellsburg Christian Church and also a member of the Wellsburg Civic League. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Rockey on December 2, 1988; three sisters, Mildred, Violet and Betty; and a grandchild, Patti DEVaul. Surviving are two sons, Homer DeVaul and his wife, Margaret of Tallmadge, Ohio and Bert DeVaul and his wife, Sue of Bethany, WV; a brother, Jesse Hiel and his wife, Mary Ellen of Houston, PA; two sisters, Mrs. Jack “Ella Mae” Beverage of Shadyside, OH and Mrs. Virginia Williams of Bellaire, Oh; four grandchildren, Randy DeVaul of Cleveland, OH, Joy Mick of Fairlawn, Oh, Jane Buntain of Tallmadge, OH, and Dr. Chanson DeVaul of Goldsboro, NC; and eight great-grandchildren. Arrangements made by Reasner Funeral Home, Charles Street, Wellsburg, WV. Interment to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV.
