Mrs. Bertha May Farnsworth, 61, of 1038 Pleasant Valley Rd., Wellsville, wife of Alex Farnsworth, died Thursday at 6:50 p.m. at City Hospital, where she had been a patient three days.
Mrs. Farnsworth was born in St. Marys, W. Va., Aug. 30, 1910, a daughter of Granville Fetty and Amanda Watson Fetty. She had resided in Wellsville area some 40 years.
In addition to her husband, she leaves a son, Alex Eugene Farnsworth of Wellsville; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Audrey) Mercer of Wellsville; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Jackson of East Liverpool and Mrs. Lucinda Bennett of St. Marys, and nine grandchildren.
Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the MacLean Funeral Home in Wellsville by the Rev. Guy Butera of Wellsville First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday afternoon and night.
