Mrs. Martha Ellen France, 76, of Shadyside Ave., wife of James France, died Thursday at 5:50 p.m. at City Hospital, where she had been a patient 3 ½ weeks.
A native of Warren, Ky., Mrs. France was born July 16, 1895, a daughter of Dempsey and Millie Hembret West. She had resided in the East Liverpool area for 21 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Barbourville, Ky.
In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Blanceh Carter of Dayton, a half-sister, Mrs. Mary McCoy of Columbus; two half-brothers, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the MacLean Funeral Home in Wellsville by the Rev. James W. Conrad of Hillcrest, Wellsville. Burial will be held in Springhill cemetery, Wellsville.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday night and Sunday afternoon after 3 p.m..
