TORONTO – Roger Allen Walker, 33, of Kent, a steelworker, died Friday at 11:30 p.m. in Metropolitan General Hospital, Cleveland.
He suffered an apparent heart attack earlier while at work at Jones & Laughlin Steel Co. in Cleveland, where he worked as a roll grinder.
A native of Toronto, Mr. Walker was born Dec. 22, 1938, a son of Mrs. Gladys Ward Walker, who resides in Knoxville, and the late William D. Walker. He served with the Army from 1959-61 in Germany. He was a former resident of Knoxville and a former member of the Knoxville United Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Mark Walker and Eric Walker, and a daughter, Kelly Christine Walker, all at home; a sister, Mrs. William (Diana) Dunlap of East Liverpool, and two brothers, Gary Walker of Elyria and Gerald Walker of Toronto.
Services will be held Tuesday at the Clarke Funeral Home here by the Rev. John Omerod of Toronto. Burial will be in Island Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
