Roger Elden Jones, 82, of Ramseur, NC passed away Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Moses Cone Memor9ial Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
Roger was a native of New Cumberland. He was a retired teacher from Prince George County, VA; a member of Faith Baptist Church and a U> S. Army Air Force Veteran. He was also a member of the N. E. A.
Roger was a loing husband, father and grandfather. He loved woodworking and was an avid bowler, having bowled a perfect game.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Clark Jones, at home; a son, K. Wade (Terry) Jones of Ramseur; a sister, Edith Dean of St. Louis; a brother, Robert Jones of Sanford, NC; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Turley Funeral Home, with Pastor David Detty officiating. Interment followed at the Union Cemetery in New Manchester.
