Charles Kenneth Littell, 85, of New Manchester, passed away Wednesday April 6, 2011.
He was born March 11m 1926 in Knob Fork, WV, a son of the late Albert and Iva Sapp Littell.
Chuck was a World War II Army veteran and retired as a Pipe Shop Construction Superintendent from Weirton Steel.
He was a member and deacon of the New Cumberland Christian Church, a life member4 of New Manchester V.F.D. and the NRA, and a member of Tomlinson Run State Park Foundation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jerld Littell and Paul Littell; a grandson, Bryan Roger Littell; and a brother, John Littell.
Surviving are his wife, Rose Phillips Littell at home, who he married August 7, 1946; a son, Roger (Diane) Littell of New Manchester, tow daughters –in-law, Joyce Littell and Judith Littell, both of New Manchester; six grandchildren, Beth Hale, Keri Bauduin, Robi Littell, Ananda Littell Fisher, Parl Charles Littell and Lance Littell; 8 great grandchildren, Samantha, Cierra, Caraline, Jerry, Jeffery, Ethan, Nolan and Charlee Rose; five sisters, Ellen Burch of New Manchester, Betty Burch and Angie Riter both of New Cumberland, Glenna Howell of North Carolina and Erma Stoneking of California; five brothers, Jeff, Frank, Marvin and Jack, all of Warren, Ohio, and Bill Littell of New Cumberland.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Nixon Funeral Home in New Cumberland with Minister Rick Tinsky officiating.
Burial followed at New Cumberland Cemetery with the Tri-State Burial Group and the WV National Honor Guard conducting military services.
