Ralph Edward Devore Jr., 81, of New Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011.
Born January 25, 1930 in New Manchester, he was a son of the late Ralph and Marjorie Moore Devore Sr.
Ralph served in the U.S. Army7, during the Korean War. He last worked for Lafarge Sand & Gravel and formerly worked for Airco Wire Co., and was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Devore.
Surviving are two sons, Paul (Jackie) DeVore of Weirton and John (Holly) DeVore of Maryland; two daughters, Marie (Ron) Russell of Texas and Michelle (Wendell) Nygren of South Carolina; six grandchildren, Derek, Shawna, Danielle, Ryan, Kyle and Tyler; two great grandchildren, Robin and Eric; five brothers, George Devore of Ohio, Earl Devore of Alabama, Robert Devore of New Cumberland, Richard Devore of Weirton and Samuel Devore of Follansbee; and two sisters, Martha Gittings of Weirton and Mary Lou Goodman of New Cumberland.
Services were held February 25, 2011 at the New Cumberland Chapel of Nixon Funeral Home with Minister Rick Tinsky officiating.
Burial followed at the New Cumberland Cemetery, where the Tri-State Veterans Burial Group and the WV National Honor Guard conducted military services.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family in their time of need.
