Mrs. Bertha Henthorne, 86, formerly of 502 Sanford Ave., died this morning at 3:30 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Merle) Roseberry of Poland, after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of Calvin Henthorne.
Mrs. Henthorne was born in New Matamoras Nov. 14, 1883, a daughter of William Edwards and Bertilla Ward Edwards. She had resided in the East Liverpool area for 15 years and was a member of the St. Clair Ave. Church of Christ. She was married June 15, 1921.
She also is survived by two sons, Gary G. Henthorne of Lisbon and Lester Henthorne of East Liverpool, another daughter , Mrs. Amberry (Lois) Brown of East Liverpool, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home by Jack Duty of the church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and night.
