WELLSBURG – Wilbert Lee Melvin, 79, of 850 Beech St., Washington, Pa., died Tuesday in the Washington Hospital.
He was born March 8, 1908 in Wellsburg, a son of Mrs. Gertrude Hogg Melvin of Washington and the late H. G. Melvin.
He was a Methodist and retired form Star Dynamics Corp., Washington.
Surviving, besides his mother, are one son, Wilbert Lee Melvin, Jr. of Washington; one daughter, Geraldine Rae Lehocy of Aliquippa; one brother, Charles Melvin of Beaufort, S. C.; one sister, Olive Elizabeth Lyle of Canton; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Chambers Funeral Home Wellsburg, 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday. The rev. James Kocsis will officiate. Interment at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery.
