NEW CUMBERLAND – George Joseph Graham, 78, RD 3, Glass School Road, New Cumberland, died Tuesday afternoon at the Robinson Home Care in Weirton following a lingering illness.
He was born May 30, 1911, in Jackson County, Ohio, the son of the late Fred and Janie McNurlin Graham.
He was a Protestant by faith.
He was a retire carpenter, U. S,. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the New Cumberland VFW Post 3526, and a member of the Carpenter’s Local No. 422, Rochester, Pa.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Everett Graham.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. David (Janie) Phillips of New Cumberland; a sister, Mrs. Arnetta Crow of Conway, Pa.; two brothers, Russell of Colliers and John of New Brighton, Pa.; and two grandsons.
Friends may call at the Turley Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Services will be conducted at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Glen Freshour Jr. officiating.
Interment in the New Cumberland Cemetery.
