Martha L. Roberts, 80, of Chester, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008.
She was born November 17, 1927 in Folsom, WV, the daughter of the late Glenn and Opal Hayhurst Bates. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Roberts.
She is survived by a daughter, Darlene Carnes of Chester; a son, Bradley Roberts of Pennsylvania; a sister, Grace Utt of Newell; a brother, Dorsey Bates of Folsom; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Newell Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home. Interment followed at the Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell.
