Mingo Junction, Ohio – Samuel S. “Sam” Nicosia, age 68, formerly of Mingo Junction, Ohio died on Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Mingo Junction, Ohio, on Oct. 29, 1937, a son of the late Thomas and Blanche (Cresta) Nicosia.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Sines) Nicosia; sons, Walter W. Gibson and his wife Karen of Unionport, Ohio, and Steven Nicosia and his wife Karen of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Anthony Nicosia and his wife Betty as well as their children, Frank and Toni Jo all of Wintersville; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes, 15872 St. Clair Avenue, Calcutta, Ohio, on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Upland Cemetery in Yorkville.
Friends may call at the funeral home in Calcutta from 3-8 p.m. on Monday Jan. 16.
