LISBON – Cecil L. “Pete” Flory, 81, of West Chestnut Street, died at 2:04 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Lisbon, Sept. 19, 1919, a son of he late Fred William and Mary Esther Taylor Flory.
He was employed in the maintenance department of Quaker Casting Mfg. until retirement and was a member of the Lisbon First Christian Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife. Lena Mary Starr Flory.
He is survived by three sons, Cecil L. Flory Jr. of Fitchburg, Mass., Fred W. Flory of Beloit, Ohio and Ronald J. Flory of Wilson, N. C.; a daughter, Sally I Hasson of Bradenton, Fla., a brother, John Morgan of Lisbon; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Milton Butler of the church will conduct the services at 11 a.m. Friday at Eells-Leggett Funeral Home. The tir-State Burial Group will conduct full military honors graveside at Lisbon Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to8 p.m. Thursday.
