SALEM – Robert Douglas Stanley, 73, of Benton Road, died at 4:50 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, a the Salem Convalescent Center.
He was born in Akron, Ohio, Dec. 20, 1926, a son of the late John and Hazel Cash Stanley.
He was employed by Kroele Lincoln Mercury in until retiring and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Anne E. Gilbert Bishop; two sons, Terry Stanley ‘Bishop and Barry Stanley Bishop of Salem; four sisters, Mary Orminston and Carol Cox of Mansfield, Ohio, Kay Orlin of Austintown and Pat Anderson of Massillon; a brother, Bill Stanley of Wilmington N. C. ; a stepbrother, Richard Stanley Mays of East Liverpool; and three grandchildren
Father Robert Flynn will conduct services at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Chapel at Grandview Cemetery.
Stark Memorial Funeral is in charge arrangements.
