EAST LIVERPOOL – Richard M. Dietz, 75, of state Route 267, died Saturday, Oct 7, 2000, at City Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Glenmoor Nov. 11, 1924, a son of the late Albin John and Leola Burlingam Dietz.
He was employed as a die press operator at American Paper Products until retiring. He served with the U. S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Beulah (Colgrove) Dietz; a son John A. Dietz of Wakefield, VA.; five daughters, Mrs. Robert (Lu A.) Blythe of Falls Church, Va., Diane Dietz of Laxohatchee, Fla., Mrs. Glenn (Myra) Earich of LaCroft, Polly S. Dietz of Arlington, Va., and Dora Dietz of Glenmoor; a brother, Robert Dietz of Calcutta; two sisters, Wilma Jean Nicholson of Illinois and Ann K. “Dot” Hobbs of Florida; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Charles Parry, chaplain at City Hospital will conduct services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memo9rial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
