LISBON – William Edward Figley, 78, of East Lincoln Way died at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at Salem Community Hospital, where he was hospitalized since June.
He was born in Lisbon May 7, 1922, a son of the lat4e Marion and Jeanette Morris Figley.
He retired as an accountant for Bliss-Salem and attended the Lisbon First Christian Church. He also served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Doris McDevitt; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Charlotte) Burkholder of Warren; a son, Charles M. Loar of McKinney, Texas; a sister, June Kelly of Friday Harbor, Wash., and two grandchildren.
The rev. Milton Butler of the church will conduct services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eells-Leggett Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
