SALINEVILLE – Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Rhodes, 76, of Water Street, died at 9:48 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton following a brief illness.
She was born in Salineville Feb. 3, 1925, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Kathryn G. Sweeney Mundy.
She retired as a clerk in the office at the Salineville, IGA and was a member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Cliffton C. Rhodes; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Regina) Bridge of Salineville; two sons, C. David Rhodes of Toronto and Charles L. Rhodes of Fort Pierce, Fla.; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The Rev. Father John P. Tully will conduct services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer vigil to be held at 2.
