James Westfall

James F. Westfall, 805 Broadway, Wellsville, died late Sunday night in the Rocky Glenn Sanatorium at McConnelsville, following a three-years illness. He was 58.

Mr. Westfall was born near Sutton, W. Va. He was employed for many years in the Buckeye Plant of the McLain Fire Brick Co, retiring four years ago because of failing health.

He leaves his widow, Mrs Amanda Stanley Westfall and two step-sons, Harry McClure of Wellsville R. D., and Richard McClure of East Liverpool.

The body was taken to the McLean Funeral Home for rites Wednesday at 3 p.m. by Rev. George L. Waldon, pastor of the Christian Church. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery.

Friends may call tonight at the funeral home.

Funeral of Steve Tressler,

Funeral services for Steve Tressler were held from the the undertaking rooms of Joseph C. Spratt in New Brighton, Monday morning at 8:30 o’clock with requiem high mass at Holy Trinity church, Beaver Falls at 9 o’clock. Interment was made in St. Felix cemetery, Freedom.

ARMENIA BIRCH - Obituary

Services will be held Tuesday for Mrs Armenia Birch, 83, of 214 Glenwood Avenue, who died Friday at Youngstown Northside Hospital folllowing a six-month illness.

Born May 30, 1875, at Calcutta, she was a daughter of George and Martha Brannan, and had resided in this area for 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband William C. Birch. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a son, George Birch of East Palestine; a sister, Mrs. Paul Shaffer of Beaver Falls, and a grandchild.

Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 at the home by the Rev. William Robb, burial will be at Calcutta.
