TORONTO – Ruth I. Morrow Dilley, 74, passed away Monday, jan. 26, 2004, at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.
Born Jan. 18, 1930, in Empire, she was the daughter of the late William and Celia Blackburn Morrow.
She was a member of the Riverview Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Dilley, and sons, William Dilley, Keith Dilley and Chris Dilley.
She is survived by sons Ronald Morrow, Leonard Dilley, Terry Dilley of Toronto, Ernie Dilley of Hepnier, Ore., and John Dilley of Dayton, Ohio; daughters, Sharon Dilley, Debbie Fisher and Tina Shimmel of Toronto and Nianne Hancock of Wellsville; a stepson, Denny Kenner of Titusville, Pa.; 28 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Clarke Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Burial in Toronto Union Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.Thursday.

A sister, Margaret Dunlap Goodman, is deceased.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Locust Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Rose, interim pastor of the church, officiating.

He retired from Weirton Steel after working 32 years as a foreman with the labor gang in the coke plant. He also worked 16 years with Louis Berkman Industry.
He was a member of the Weirton Steel 25 year Club.
Besides his parents, He was preceded in death by his wife, Harriett Rudder Myers; a brother, Gene Myers, and two sisters, Wilma Simmon and Janeth Beaver.
He is survived by a son, John Myers and his wife Shirley of Cookers, W.Va.; a daughter, Mrs. Jess (Shirley) Reed of New Cumberland; four grandchildren, Steven Myers and his wife Renee, Scott L. Teed, Todd a. Reed and Angela M. Myers; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet “Brownie.”
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the New Cumberland Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home, with the reverends James Reed and Harry Jackson of the Brooke-Hancock Episcopal Ministries officiating. Interment will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery.

She graduated from Chester High School in 1933 and was active in her community belonging to the Chester Woman’s club, Chester Flower and Garden Club, Chester Planning Commission, was a Girl Scout leader and chaperoned Chester Hi-Teen for many years.
Preceding her is death was her husband, Merrill S. Miller, who died in 1974; and five sisters, Vera Hall, Ruby (Russ) Wines, Ima Wolfe, Velma (Richard) Shingler and Wanda Markham.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Peter (Jane) Tsinzo of Stoughton, Mass. And Mrs.Tom (Susan) Panebianco of Bloomingdale, Ohio, and nine grandchildren, Mary Jane McHenry, Ann U. (Tori) Tsinzo, Peter J. (Linda) Tsinzo, Christine (Mark) Lebassierre, Susan (Roger) Hardy, Stephanie Tsinzo, Kerry Tsinzo, Tim (Karen) Panebianco and Christopher (Christian Frisinger) Panebianco and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was Methodist by faith and was a member of the American Legion Post 70 Auziliary where she served as first vice president. Lind was also on her class reunion committee.
Survivors include her husband, George Crews at home, whom she married Jan. 20, 1983; one daughter, Kelly Reed of Wellsville; two sons, Rodney Reed and his wife, Sheila of Deltona, Fla. Elmer retired in 1973 from National Steel Corporations Tin Mill Dept., where he was a member of the 25 Year Club. Elmer also was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and trinity United Methodist Church in New Cumberland and a member of the New Cumberland Lodge 22 AF&AM.
He is survived by three sons, Elmer Paul (Suzzanne) Swearingen, Hervey W. “Bill” (Patty) Swearingen and Robert (Dorothy) Swearingen all of New Cumberland; a daughter, Ann (Dean) Chamberlain of New Cumberland; seven grandchildren, Debra Ann Carpenter of Millersport, Ohio, Randall Chamberlain of Hurst, Texas, Denise Rowland of New Manchester, Marcy Dillon of New Cumberland, Sheila Hudson of Calcutta, Alan Swearingen of Dublin, Ohio, and Jody Mitchell of Basalt, Colo.; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was born June 12, 1946, in East Liverpool, Ohio, a son of the late Andrew L. and Mary R. (Tramontana) Caruso.
He was a 1965 graduate of Wellsville High School and attended Kent State University, East Liverpool branch. Frank was a veteran of the U. S. Army during the Vietnam era.
He was employed in the Environmental Services Department at Mercy Hospital for the past 25 years.
Survivors include one sister, Donna Johnston and her husband, Dave, of East Liverpool; one brother, John A. Caruso and his wife, Joyce, of Rome, N.Y.; nieces, Carla McClain of South Carolina, Missy Freeman of East Liverpool, and Kelly DeCarlis of Rome, N.Y.; a nephew, Shawn Wilson also of South Carolina and his close friend, Al Trautman of Imperial, Pa.

WEST POINT – Edwin L. “Eddie” Hutcheson, 77, of state Route 518, died Sunday evening, Dec. 7, 2003, at home following an apparent heart attack.
He was born June 23, 1926, in Lisbon, a son of the late Charles E. and Martha Ann Carlisle Hutcheson.
He worked at the Sterns and Foster Furniture factory in Columbiana until his retirement. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances A. Morris Hutcheson.

He was born June 23, 1926, in Lisbon, a son of the late Charles E. and Martha Ann Carlisle Hutcheson.
He worked at the Sterns and Foster Furniture factory in Columbiana until his retirement. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances A. Morris Hutcheson.

Elizabeth R. Cline, 74, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center.
She was born December 27, 1928 in Hollidays Cove, a daughter of the late Jack Lester and Sadie Lawrence Ball. She was also preceded in death by her son, Lester Earl Cline and her sister, Cleda Jean Adams.
She was a homemaker and in 1946, worked as a cosmetologist in the Hub’s Beauty Salon in Steubenville. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Weirton.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Cline of Weirton, whom she married July 8, 1946; two sons, Ronald Dale Cline and his wife, Debby of Westover, WV and Perry Ray Cline and his wife, Nikki of Greensboro, NC; two daughters, Jacqueline Zaslocke and her husband Joseph of Weirton and Joyce Sciulli and her husband, Ben of Beaver Falls, PA; seven grandchildren, randy Zaslocke and his wife, Linda, Joy Mullins, Eli and Cody Sciulli, Jessica, Taylor and Jillian Cline and two great-grandsons, Garrett and Brandon Mullins.
Services were held on Monday, March 24, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Weirton with Rev. Nathan T. Gragg officiating. Interment followed at the Highland Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church 3432 West Street, Weirton WV 26062

He was also preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Virginia Sobel Bennett and three sisters, Jeanne Bennett, Ann Bennett and Edith Long.
He was a World War II United States Army veteran. He retired from Weirton Steel, after working 40 years in plant security. He was a member of the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club, the New Cumberland VFW Adam Poe Post 3526, the American Legion and a past member of the Hancock County Democratic Executive Committee. He was a former Hancock County Deputy Sheriff.
He is survived by a son, Carroll Bennett and his wife, Cindy of Racine, WI; two daughters, Kim Robinson of Phoenix, AZ and Lee Bennett of Fort Myers, FL; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Frances) Watson of New Cumberland; a companion and friend, Jeanne Ann Gibson Chetock of New Cumberland; four grandchildren, Richard, Kevin, Timmothy and Tina; a special great nephew Justin and a special great niece Kaitlyn.

His wife, Helen E. Southall, died Sept. 11, 1993. A son, Elwood “Sonny” Williams; a sister, Delores Wright; and a brother, Charles Southall, also preceded him in death.
Three daughters, Katherine “Susie” Williams of East Liverpool, Eleanor Williams of Wellsville and Mrs. Eddie (Helen Louise) Pack of East Liverpool, and three sons, George Williams and his companion, Doris Adams of East Liverpool, Edward “Eddie” Williams and his wife, Joyce of Kentucky, and William “Bill” Williams and his wife, Ruth of East Liverpool survive.
Two sisters, Lucille Curtis of East Liverpool and Mrs. Henry (Yvonne) Bankston of Atlanta, also survive along with a brother, Dan Southall of Detroit.
Additionally, there are 16 grandchildren, Paul and Darlene Williams, Lynn Marrero, Jason and Jada Pack, Junior, Kenny and Cassie Williams, Linda Gregg, Ryan Williams, Anthony Ray, ‘betty Lynn Adams, Mary Elizabeth and Bill Williams, Nikki an RJ Crow and numerous great-grandchildren.

EAST LIVERPOOL – Ben P. Weber, 72, of Alton Street, died at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, from head injuries sustained in a Thursday afternoon fall.
He became the son of the late John L. and Beulah Baxter Weber in East Liverpool on Aug. 14, 1931.
Having lived his entire life in this area, he was employed by the East Liverpool Health Department. Then, for 15 years, Ben held a technical position in Steubenville with the North Ohio Valley Air Authority. In 1987, he became executive director of the Pottery Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, holding that position until his retirement in December 2000. Although retired from the Red Cross, Ben remained an active volunteer.
He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School, a member of the former Calvary Methodist Church and attended Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. Serving during the Korean Conflict in the U. S. Navy, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 66.
Ben is survived by two sons, Robert F. Weber and his wife Beth of East Liverpool and Kenneth P Weber and his wife Patty of Midland; one brother, Philip W. Weber and his wife Raven of East Liverpool; two sisters, Linda Weidger and Carolyn Czech and her husband James, all of East Liverpool; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Westbrook and her husband Chris of Empire, Ohio, Matthew W. Weber and his wife Heidi of Bloomingdale, Ohio, Angela Anne Weber and Aaron R. Weber, both of East Liverpool, and Ryan T. and Amanda H. Weber, both of Midland.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Ankrom Weber, whom he married on May 29, 1952, and two brothers, John L. Weber Jr. and Robert Weber.

William Church of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Calcutta, Rev. Fred Compston of Steel valley Baptist Church in Brilliant, Ohio and Rev. Duane Hetzer, Chaplain at East Liverpool City Hospital, officiating. Burial will follow in the United Presbyterian Cemetery in Calcutta with the Tri State Burial Group according full military honors.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003.

COLUMBIANA – Marion Lee Kiehl, 76, of Fairfield Avenue died at 11:05 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 1999 in Allegheny General Hospital, where he had been a patient for three weeks.
He was born Jan. 4, 1923, in East Palestine, the son of Albert and Mary Green Kiehl.
He had lived in Columbiana for 51 years, coming from the Rogers-Negley area. A truck driver, he owned and operated Kiehl Diesel Service. He was also in charge of maintenance for the Ferris Coal Company. He designed and built equipment for the Col-Pump Company.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Columbiana.
Serving with the 19th Bomb Group in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a B-29 gunner in the air Offensive Japan, he received the Purple Heart and the Air Medal with Bronze Oakleaf Cluster.
He also was a member of Benjamin Firestone Post 290 American Legion at Columbiana, York Drexler Post 5532, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Cool Springs Gas Engine Association and the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Irene Black Kiehl, whom he married Dec 25, 1949; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Sandra) Davis of Leetonia and Mrs. James (Barbara) Zins of Lisbon; two sons, the Rev. Dr. Darryl Kiehl of Atlanta and Donald Oberholtzer of Columbiana; four sisters, Mrs. Donelda “Sis” Boyles, Jeannetta “Jean” Boyles and Vera “Betts” Lewis al of East Palestine and Mrs. Ronald (Clara) “Boots” Guesman of Rogers; four brothers, Richard Kiehl of New Waterford, Melvin Kiehl of Austintown, William Kiehl and James Kiehl of Negley; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Debra Ann Kiehl; a son, Robert E. Oberholtzer; a brother, Wayne Kiehl; three grandchildren and a great grandson.
Dr. Ronald Huff of the church and Rev. W. David H. Conrad of Jerusalem Lutheran Church will conduct services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church. The Benjamin firestone Post Honor Guard will accord military honors graveside in Columbiana Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Janice (Loch) Brothers, whom he married May 23, 1947; three daughters, Trudy Crabtree, her husband Gary and children Michael, Jayson and Jordan of LaVale, Md.; Terry hays, her husband Jay and son Chip of Salineville; Tonia Kestner and her husband David and children Janzen and Luke of Lebanon, Ohio; three sons, Chris Brothers and his wife Karen and children Brent and Stephanie of Summitville, Ohio; Craig Brothers and his wife Diane and children Lacey and Brady of Salineville, Corey Brothers and his wife Lisa and children Hannah and Alivia of Salineville; one great-grandson, Samuel Brothers; and two sisters, Mary Young of Carrollton, Ohio and Marjory Taylor of Canton, Ohio. WELLSVILLE – Having lived a full life, Leroy F. “Babe” Wellington, 91, of Sixteen School Road, died Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 19, 2003, at East Liverpool City Hospital.
He was born Nov. 27, 1911, in Yellow Creek Township, a son of the late John E. and Emma K. Boyce Wellington.
Babe lived his entire life within one mile of the house he was born in. he was a self-employed dairy farmer before retiring in 1975 as a foreman in the pouring plant at the former Crucible Steel.
He loved to garden and loved playing and listening to bluegrass music. Babe played the guitar and the harmonica, not only as a hobby, but also in his youth in a ban, where he met his late wife of 55 years, the former Elizabeth Kiddey. They were married on June 5, 1945. She died on June 7, 2000.
Babe was a member of the oak Ridge Presbyterian Church, Highlandtown Grange, Steelworkers Local 1212 and the Jolly 60s and Senior Citizens. He was an avid square dancer, last dancing in August of this year.
He leaves behind one daughter, Linda “Sue” Carter and her husband Jeff of Plano, Texas; one son, James D. Wellington and his wife Charlene of Wellsville; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and the most wonderful neighbors any community could ever want.
Babe was predeceased by a daughter, Sara Jane Brown, and three brothers, Walter, George and Elmer Wellington.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Roberts Funeral Home with the Rev. Louise Corbett of the church presiding. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Wellsville.

She is survive by her husband, Richard Roberts of Prospect, whom he married in 1969; a daughter, Mr. Mary (Dave) Poling of Prospect; two stepdaughters, Cheryl L. She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Noling; an infant son; and a grown son, Richard D. Noling.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty J. Carter of Lebanon and Patty L. Butler of North Ft. Myers, Fla.; a sister, Ruth Weaver of Negley; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Maurice “Scoop” Faloon, whom she married April 24, 1943, died Feb. 12, 1975.
Survivors include one daughter, Darla Green and her husband Butch of Wellsville, with whom she resided; one sister, Millie Osgood of Wellsville; her grandchildren, Crystal Harrison and her husband David of Salem and Donald Green and his wife Cindy of Andover; and her great-grandchildren, Justin, Emily, Adam, Danielle and Gabrielle
She was predeceased by a brother, Dean Rowley.
