William P. boring, 65, of Third Ave., New Cumberland, passed away Sunday, May 10, 1998 in Wheeling.
He was born June 12, 1932 in Mt. Pleasant, Pa, the son of Lillian Shaffer and the late Thomas J. Boring. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Allen and Joey boring and three sisters, Lois Jane, Norma Jean and Shirley Boring.
He was a veteran of he Korean Conflict serving in the U. S. Marine Corp. He retired as a filter operator from Quaker State Oil Refinery of Newell. He was a ember of Trinity United Methodist Church of New Cumberland, Weirton Odd Fellows, New Cumberland Lions Club, Mt Pleasant Moose and the Mt. Pleasant V.F.W.
Besides his mother he is survived by his wife, Wilma J. (Thayer) Boring of New Cumberland; two sons, Roy I. Boring of New Cumberland and Robert Boring of Wheeling; two daughters, Joyce Barnhart of Leetonia, Ohio and Wilma (Jane) Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio; three brothers, Thomas Jr., Bud Allen and Robert Vernon boring all of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Alverdia Poorbaugh of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Wednesday, May 13, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Billy Ray Carpenter officiating. Interment followed in the New Cumberland Cemetery. Nixon Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Rockford D. Cox, 88, of Hancock House, New Cumberland, passed away Friday, May 8, 1998 at Weirton Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born November 24, 1909 in Philippi, WV, the son of he late H.L. and Genevra (Ice) Cos. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Marie (Cullen) Cox, second wife, Alice (Breen) Thomas Cox; one sister, Genevieve; four brothers, Wilber, Sherden, Shirley and Paul Cox.
He was a member of the New Cumberland Christian Church. He was a retired carpenter form Steubenville Local #186.
Surviving are one daughter, Patricia Weintraub of Weirton; three granddaughters, Marie Kayla and Stephanie all of Weirton; three nephews, Eugene Cox, Woodrow Cox and Martin Cox; two nieces, Virginia McNicholson and Mary Peters.
Services were held on Sunday, May 10, 998 at 1:00 p.m. at the Turley Funeral Home with Reverend Lew Maysey officiating . Burial followed in the New Cumberland Cemetery.

Rockford D. Cox, 88, of Hancock House, New Cumberland, passed away Friday, May 8, 1998 at Weirton Medical Center following a brief illness.

Samuel W. Posovich, Jr., 66, of Weirton, passed away Monday, May 11, 1998 at Vencor Hospital; Oakdale, PA following a lingering illness.
He was born January 4, 1932 in New Cumberland, a son of the late Samuel W. and Blanche M. (Madey) Posovich, Sr.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving 20 years, a Catholic by faith. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service, Steubenville in 1995 with 20 years of service. He was a member of the VFW post #3526 of New Cumberland, American Legion Post #10 and the Moose Lodge #688 in Weirton, and was also a member of the National Postal Mail Handlers Union.
Surviving is one brother, James Posovich of New Cumberland; six sisters, Mary Jones, Mrs. Thomas (Frances) Czernek, Gloria Posovich and Barbara Reinhart all of Weirton and Sylvia Langfitt of Oviedo, FL and Mrs. Edward (Dorothy) Lamatrice of Steubenville.
Services were held on Wednesday, May 13, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at the Turley Funeral Home with Reverend Rodger Hughes officiating. Military graveside services will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

She was a member of the Newell Presbyterian Church.

Robert Otis Murray, 92, of Sonoma, California, formerly of Chester passed away Wednesday, May 6, 1998.
He was the son of the late William A. and olive (Ewing) Murray.
He was well known as an avid gardener, and customers returned every year to buy his prized strawberries. He was a member of Ironworkers Local #549 of Wheeling for 61 years and American Legion Post 0121 of Chester, he served in World War II in the U.S. Army Railroad Battalion #734 as a Staff Sergeant and as a young man worked for eight years in the Michigan Oil Fields.
Surviving are his wife, Helen (Pugh) Murray; her daughter, Kaye Sandbek of Sonoma, CA; his step-daughter, Audrey Goppert of Plano, TX and her children Paula Wilder of Plano and Doug Goppert of Curango, Co; and by his sisters Elsie Dietz and Sarah Riggs both of Salem, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held on May 20, 1998 at 1:00 p.m. at Fairview Presbyterian Church in New Manchester.

Surviving are one daughter, Lisa Stack of Conway, SC and her mother, Sandra Crago Psotlethwait of Myrtle Beach, SC; a companion of 7 years, Sharon Askounis; three sisters, Mrs. Maxine Mills and Mrs. Rodney (Edie) Walker, both of New Cumberland and Mrs. JoAnn Evans of New Manchester; one brother, Delmas Postlethwait of New Cumberland.

Martha Elinor (Ellie) Staley, 78, formerly of Steubenville, and New Manchester passed away Tuesday, March 3, 1998, at her daughter’s residence in Sheffield Lake, Ohio following a short illness.
She was born June 16, 1919. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Richard M. Staley and one son, Richard Mark Staley
She was a registered nurse who worked for the public Health Department for 25 years. She also served in the Naval Nurse’s Corps during World War II.
Surviving are two daughters, Gretchen M. Barcus of Pittsburgh and Mary Bublik of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; one brother Paul Joseph Curran of Carmel, IN; one sister, Nancy McArdle of Shrevesport, LA; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be held on March 17, 1998 at 5:30 p.m. at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain, Ohio. The most Reverend Father Christian Moore will be the celebrant.
Mrs. Staley had donated her body to the Human Gift Registry for education, research and service in medicine.

He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club, and the Toronto American Legion Post 86. Weirton Steel Division as a wireman in the tin mill.
Surviving are his wife, Ell M. (Robertson) Chambers, whom he married May 25, 1953; two sons, David of Xenia and William C. Jr. of Akron; three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Alice) Boring of Akron, Cynthia Chambers and Melissa Talamonti of Toronto; one brother, Kenneth of New Cumberland; one sister, Mary Katherine Cassasi of Davenport, FL; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, March 10, 1998 at the Clarke Funeral Home in Toronto at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dennis Kelley officiating. Burial followed at the Island Creek Cemetery with military graveside honors by the Toronto American Legion .

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Weirton and he was retired from Weirton Steel, National Steel Division where he served as foreman of the Open Hearth Electric. He was a member of the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club.

Services were held Thursday, March 12, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nixon Funeral Home of New Cumberland with Reverend Mikel Dale Pugh, a grandson of Unionville, WV officiating. Interment followed in New Cumberland Cemetery.

She was born March 14, 1928 in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Robert E. and Mildred I (Clegg) Sams. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, Robert and Kenneth; two sisters, Mabel and Lucille and one grandson, Aaron Ireland.
She was a member of the New Cumberland Church of Christ, the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and the Weirton Woman’s Bowling Association.
Surviving are her husband, Bartlett J. Wharton, Sr.; two sons, Robert Wharton and Bartlett J. sharton, Fr., both of Weirton; seven daughters, Mrs. Russell (Linda) Waide of Weirton, Mrs. Dennis (Susan) Ireland, Jr. of Krnaich of Weirton, Mrs. Greg (Karen Wearsch of Rockford, IL., Mrs. Richard (Denise) Decker of New Cumberland and Donna Evano Wharton of Weirton; two sisters, Janet Nichols of Williamstown, WV and Priscilla Sands of Vienna, WV; three brothers, Harry Sams of Bens Run, WV, Larry Sams and William Sams, both of Parkersburg; 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, March 31. 1998 at the New Cumberland Church of Christ at Christ at 11:00 a.m. with Evangelist Richard B. Brewer officiating. Interment was made at the Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee.

John J. Vinci, Sr., 63, of Chester passed away Sunday, March 29, 1998 at the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh following a brief illness.
He was born March 30, 1934 in East Orange, NJ a son of the late Oresto and Philmina (Monti) Vinci. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Allyson Nichole Reed.
He was currently serving as First District Councilman for Chester.
He was plant manager of the Newell Company for 17 years and was also employed at Homer Laughlin China Company. He was a member of the United Methodist Church were he was a choir member and served on the Pastoral Relations Committee.
He was the founding member of the National Doorknob tossing Assoc., active in the local Fish organization, a member of the Mountaineer Barbershop Quartet and a member of the Chester Lion’s Club.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Ann Huff Vinci, two sons, John J. Vinci, Jr. of Hookstown, PA and Michael E. She was born November 29, 1909 a daughter of the late John and Mary Ferchill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, two brothers, Patrick and Joseph and a sister, Rose.
She had lived in New Cumberland since 1939 where she retired as an employee form the Hancock County Courthouse, In April 1996 she moved to the Cresthaven Nursing Home Texas where she resided until her death.

Marlene Evelyn (Parrish) Thayer, 74, of Grand Ledge, Michigan passed away Saturday, March 28, 1998 at her residence.
She was born in Allegan, MI, the only child of the late Milton E. and Vera E. Van Valkenberg Parrish.
She married Melvin C. “Bill” Thayer, in 1959 in New Cumberland. He preceded her in death in 1989 at age 85.
Marlene lived in Indiana, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, District of Columbia and Michigan. She has worked as a public, school and university librarian; library consultant; teacher and in financial positions in advertising and design. Her early education was received in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. Her college work was done at Ohio Wesleyan and Kent State universities earning degrees in liberal art, education and library science.
A genealogist by avocation, she has been the family historian. She retired from the State Library of Michigan in 1990.
Surviving are an uncle, S. W. Parrish of Dowell, MD; 23 first cousins plus very dear cousins, Ronald Chase, Jean Elllinger, Marge Kalec and Diane Rider; two special friends, Gen VanEpps and Beverly Germain and her beloved cat, Tuli.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 1, 1998 t 1 p.m. at the Douglas Cemetery, Douglas, Michigan. Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge was in charge of funeral arrangements. Memorial may be made to the Grand Ledge Library Memorial Fund.

LOUISVILLE – Alma Jane Tice, 95, formerly of Hammondsville, died Monday, Nov. 10,2003, at the home of her daughter, Beatrice, and went home to be with her loving husband, George, who passed away June 25, 1987.
Alma was born in tucker County, W.Va. on Oct. 22, 1908, to the late Richard and Nancy Williams Newman. She was a protestant by faith and had worked as a packer at the former TS&T Pottery in Chester, W.Va.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alma, was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Richard, and Alvin Newt Newman; three sisters, Martha Pontius, George Compston and Virginia Rickey; one grandson, Ronald Tice Jr.; and one great-great granddaughter, Cheyenne Smith.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Beatrice) Tyo of Louisville, Ohio; four sons, Ronald Tice and his wife, Mary, William Tice and his wife, Nancy, both of Hammondsville, Daniel Tice and his wife, Rose, of Wellsville and John Tice of Poquosen, Va.
There are nine grandchildren, Charles Tice and his wife, Julia of Knoxville, Ohio, Kimberly Smith and her husband, Jeff of East Liverpool, Susan Hassan and her husband, Mike of Mingo Junction, Daniel Tice Jr. and Kevan Tice of Las Vegas, Tim Tice of Alliance, Holly Tyo of Louisville, Ohio, John Tice II and Troy Tice of Lubbock, Texas. There are also seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at the Roberts Funeral Home with Rev. John Butera of the Peace United Methodist Church presiding. Burial will follow in Hammondsville Cemetery.

LISBON – Hilda C. “Tillie” Carlisle, 85, of West Washington Street, went home to be with the Lord at 7:45 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at her home following a brief illness.
Mrs. Carlisle was born Feb. 16, 1918, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late Robert and Nellie T. Dailey Reed. She moved to Lisbon in 1966 after living in West Point for most of her life.
A 1936 graduate of East Liverpool High School, Tillie first worked for the Thomas Works during the war. The she worked 17 years the Golden Star Dairy, 14 years as a cook for the County Home, and 11 years at the Columbiana County Jail until her retirement from there in 1987. At her retirement, she received official congratulations from State Rep. John D. Shivers and Ohio House Speaker Vern Riffe. She also was named “Citizen of the Week.”
A member of the Lisbon Church of the Nazarene, Tillie also was a member of the Lisbon Senior Citizens, the Wayne Township Homemakers, was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge, and the Daughters of America.
Her husband, Fred W. Carlisle Sr., whom she married Oct. 9, 1936, preceded her in death Dec. 3, 1978.
She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Lee (Marilyn) Hamblen of Wadsworth, Ohio, and Mrs. Cheryl “Sue” Macuich of Jasper, Ind.; her son, Fred W. Carlisle Jr. of Lisbon; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Carlisle was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Jean Harrison; her grandson, Jeffrey Hamblen; three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Fellenger officiating. Burial will follow in Lisbon Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

YOUNGSTOWN – Mrs. Mary Johnson Bartram Beede, 97, formerly of Poland, Ohio, died at 11:25 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2002, at the Park Vista Retirement Home in Youngstown, where she resided.
Born in Poland March 25, 1905, daughter of the late Charles W. and Edna Haas Smith, she was a 1922 graduate of Rayen High School and previously attended Poland Seminary High School.
A member of the Poland Presbyterian Church since 1918, she was an elder and served on the board of trustees, the board of deacons, as well as president of the Women’s Association at one time. Additionally, she was a member and leader of the Friendship Circle along with holding membership in the Mariners Group of the church.
She also held membership in the Clio II Club and was a past president of the fortnightly II Club and a charter member and past president of the Four Square Wives Club. She was a member of the RSVP Committee at Park Vista Retirement Home, where hs served as a volunteer for many years.
Her first husband, Raymond “Curly” Johnson, director of Camp Fitch and Youngstown YMCA Boys’ Secretary, preceded her in death in 1935. Her second husband, Newton A. Bartram, a past president of the Ohio Elks Association and president of Bartram Oil Co. died in 1971. Her third Husband, Dwight V. “Dike” Beede, head football coach at Youngstown State University, died in 1972.
Two daughters survive her, Dr. JoAnne Johnson Trow and her husband, Clifford Trow, of Corvallis, Ore., and Elizabeth Bartram Lane of Denver, Colo. A son, Philip Jhonson, and his wife, Peggy, of Greensboro, N. C., survive as well.
Two stepdaughters, Mrs. Frank C. (Gretchen Beede) Dawson of East Liverpool and Mrs. John (Susan Beede) Stephens of Elkton, also survive.
There are nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Jerald L. Fennell, parish associate, will conduct services at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 30, at the Poland Presbyterian Church. Friends will be received in the church parlor immediately following the service
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Poland, where a private graveside service will be held Monday with Dr. Robert Hoover of the church officiating.

Born April 24, 1918, in Winona, Ohio, a son of the late John E. and Anna Zeitler Herron, he was a retired employee of the Crucible Steel Co Cold Strip Dept. with 34 years service. He was a farmer and a member of the Frankfort Presbyterian Church and the Beaver Valley Antique Equipment Association.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Arnold Herron; three sons and daughters-in-law, Harry J. and Tanya Herron of Hanover Township, Gail and Sondra Herron of North Sewickley Township, Ivan and Gina Herron of Elgin, Ill.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Craig Leuzinger of Lawrenceville, Ga., Marsha and Dale Weaverof Westborough, Mass.; 11 grandchildren, Neal (Julie) Herron, Brian Herron, Chris Leutzinger, Mark Leutzinger, Kristy and Kelly Herron, Ashley and Sara Weaver, and Amanda, Zachary and Bradley Herron. He also is survived by three brothers, Glen Herron of New Manchester, W.Va., Frank Herron and Paul Herron, both of Beaver; one sister, Eula Swain of Sun City, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, John and Ray Herron.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Welch Funeral Home, Hookstown.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the Frankfort Presbyterian Church by his nephew, the Rev. Dennis Arnold.

He was a member of the Brentwood United Methodist Church, Wintersville, Ohio, and served with the United States Navy during World War II as chief aviation mechanic. He was previously employed in the advertising department of the Herald Star. He was retired from Signode Steel as a seal press operator.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Millard Virtue whom he married Sept. 11, 1942, in Norfolk, Va. He also is survived by three daughters, Linda Lea (David) White of Moutn Airy, N. C., Karen (Jim) Reaggle of Lisbon, Ohio, and Barbara (Charles) Barnhart of New Cumberland, W.Va.; one half-brother, Clarence Virtue; and six grandchildren, Todd (Ginger) Channels, Eden (Bill) Schwinn, Delaine Bossick, Dana (Van) Zander, Char (Paul) Conley and Tamara (Kevin) Cornish; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a half-sister, Anna Mary Williamson.

Born in East Liverpool, Oct. 18, 1928, daughter of the late James A. and Bertha Moore, she attended Madison Trinity Church in West Point.
A lifelong resident of the area, she was a homemaker and was involved with the LaCroft neighborhood Crime Watch Program at one time. A member of the Calcutta Garden Club, she also was a past member of the Tri-Angle Senior Citizens.
She left her family to once again be with her beloved husband, David R. Czech, whom she married Sept. 19, 1947, and who died May 4, 1993. A daughter, Cynthia Czech, died in 1956; and a son, David R. Czech, died in 1948. Two sisters, Wilda Wilson and Juanita “Niege” Smith, also preceded her in death.
A daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Pam) Cunningham; and two grandchildren, Michael and Ryan Cunningham, with whom she resided, survive.
A sister, Mrs. Daniel (Ilda “Oddie”) Edinger of Canton, also survives along with a niece, Mrs. Michael (Juanita “Gip”) Gatrell of Irondale, whom she helped raise.
Several other nieces and nephews also survive.

Born in Ashley, W.Va., Jan. 23, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Grover P. and Emma E. White Ash. A resident of this area most of her life, she worked as a nurse’s aide at the East Liverpool City Hospital until her retirement in 1989.
She was a member of the Crystal Lodge Chapter # 18 of the Eastern Star, VFW Post #66 Auxiliary, and a past member of Daughter’s of America.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Diane Russell of East Liverpool, and an son, Michael Paul Malcomb of Las Vegas, Nev. Three step-daughters also survive, Mrs. Ed (Helen) Hitt of Weston, W.Va., Mrs. Paul (Bonnie) Blevins of Glenmoor and Mrs. John (Winona) Mansfield of Delaware, Ohio, along with a stepson, Fred Malcomb and his wife Trish of Kentucky.
Five Grandchildren survive, Joseph P. Russell and his wife Char of LaCroft, Mrs. Eric (Misty) Mays of East Liverpool, Erin Russell and her fiancé Brad Latimer of LaCroft, Michael Malcomb II of Richmond, Va., and Jacob Malcomb of Las Vegas.

EAST LIVERPOOL – Jordan Lynne Boyd, infant daughter of Jeremy Boyd and Dana McGilvary of East Liverpool died at 6:21 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at Akron City Hospital.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her paternal grandmother, Annette Boyd of New Manchester; her paternal grandfather, Ron Boyd of East Palestine; her paternal great-grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Ron (Sena) Boyd of Connellsville, Pa.; her paternal great-grandmother, Nancy Kelly of East Liverpool; Her maternal great-grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. William (Joan) Cross of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; her maternal grandfather, Richard McGilvary of Hampton, Va.; her maternal grandfather, Frank Butler of East Liverpool; and her maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Mildred) Butler of East Liverpool.

COLUMBIANA – Fern Speer Cowsert, 83, formerly of New Springfield, Ohio, died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at St. Mary’s Alzheimer Center in Columbiana following a brief illness.
Born in Mount Pleasant, Pa., June 9, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Ewing Hess Speer and Edna Fox Speer.
A member of the Oakland Free Methodist Church, she was involved in many areas of the church, including the church choir, and had served as a church steward, taught in the Primary Department Sunday School, and had also been president of the Women’s Missionary Society. In addition, she enjoyed being a part of the church bowling league. She had been a nurses’ aid with the Visiting Nurses Association in East Liverpool prior to moving to New Springfield in 1991.
Her husband, Joseph P. Cowsert, whom she married Nov. 28, 1940, preceded her in death April 17, 2003.
Survivors include her two daughters, Louise Cowsert of Hanoverton and Dianne Cowsert of Lisbon, as well as a son, Robert Cowsert and his wife Naomi of Calcutta. There are two grandchildren, Mrs. Robert (Beth) Wells of Jacksonville, Fla., and Brad Cowsert and his wife Christina of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, as well as two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Brandon Wells of Jacksonville.
A brother, Elmer Speer of RuffsDale, Pa., also survives.
Mrs. Cowsert was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Korn, Ruth Galley and Edna Huffnagle, as well as two brothers, Robert Speer and David Speer.
Friends may call today at the Dawson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Mike Kramer of Oakland Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

WELLSVILLE – Carolyn A. Ketchum, 69, died peacefully Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at home on the corner acre of her family farm where she lived her entire life.
She was born March 22, 1934, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late M. Kenneth and Kathryn (Henry) Mick.
Carolyn was a lifelong, very active member of the Yellow Creed Presbyterian Church, where she was the building fund treasurer for many years. She retired in 2000 from her passion as cook for Fairview Elementary School after 35 years.
Survivors include her husband, James B. Ketchum, whom she married in July of 1950; two daughters, Karen Vincent and her husband Robert of Wellsville and Jamie Spence and her husband Brady of North Canton; two sons, Jeff Ketchum and his wife Linda of Wellsville and Greg Ketchum and his wife Jeanna of Kalamazoo, Mich.; three brothers, Donald Mick of East Liverpool, Thomas Mick of Newton Falls and John Mick; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville, with the rev. William Betteridge officiating.
Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Cemetery, Wellsville.

Mr. Campbell was born Jan. 14, 1904, in Beaver Falls, a son of the late Joseph Campbell and Louise Campbell. He spent most of his lifetime here and retired seven years ago from the Homer Laughlin China Co.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Flora Campbell, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Roger H. (Dora Mae) Backus of East Liverpool and Mrs. Alfred (Doris Louise) Harrelson of Niceville, Fla.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Dorothy) Dick of LaCroft; a step-son, James F. Stacy and a brother, Louis Campbell, both of East Liverpool; a sister, Mrs. Dora Shamp of Shippingport, and two grandchildren.
