The remains of Mrs. John Hawkins, of New Lisbon, will be laid to rest in the Kemble cemetery tomorrow (Sunday). The funeral services were held at the Methodist Episcopal church New Lisbon.

MINER DIED OF HEART FAILURE
Arthur E. Ward, a miner employed in the coal mines at Zalia, W. Va., was stricken with heart failure. Sunday evening about 7 o’clock. When found by his neighbor he was sitting naturally in a chair and death had evidently come painlessly and instantly. The deceased was 56 years of age. He served in the Civil War, was a member of G. A. R. post at New Cumberland. The body was taken to Toronto for burial.

DIED OF DIPHTHERIA.
John, the 4-year old son of Mr. and Mrs . John Ward of Lisbon street, died at an early hour yesterday morning from diphtheria. The remains will be shipped on the early train this morning to New Matamoras, where the funeral services will be held and burial made.
