Mrs. Julia Whitney, 2126 Ohio Avenue died at 10:45 a.m. today at City Hospital, following a six-month illness. She was 83, and had been a resident of this area about 50 years. She was born in Monroe County.
She leaves five daughters, Mrs. Wilma Tice, Mrs. Juanita Brewer, Mrs. Bessie Call, Mrs. Naomi Call and Mrs.Ida Heron, all of East Liverpool; two brothers, John Gotchell of Barnsville and William Gotchell of Amsterdam; a sister Mrs. Alma Mahoney of East Liverpool, and 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments.

Services for Mrs. Julia Whitney, 2126 Ohio Avenue who died Thursday, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home.
The Rev. H. Gene Toot, co-pastor of the Trinity United Presbyerian Church will officiate and buried will be in Columbiana Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon and tonight.
