George W. Whitney
George W. Whitney, 70, died Tuesday at 10 p.m. in his home, 2126 Ohio Avenue, following a nine week illness.

Whitney was born Oct. 10, 1882, in Sistersville, and lived in East Liverpool 45 years. He was a potter and was a member of the IBOP.

He leaves his widow, Mrs. Julia R. Gotchall Whitney; six daughters, Mrs. Mary Webber, Mrs. Wilma Tice, Mrs. Juanita Brewer, Mrs. Bessie Call, Mrs. Naomi Call and Mrs. Ida Herron of East Liverpool; a sister, Mrs. Dora Sullivan of Alliance, and 22 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Rites will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul C. Bailey, pastor of the Boyce Methodist Church. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Friends may call Thursday afternoon and night at the funeral home.
