James E. McCauley Sr.
Died June 13, 2003
EAST LIVERPOOL – James E. McCauley, Sr., 61, of Ephriam Street, died Friday, June 13, 2003, at Trinity Medical Center – West in Steubenville following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Wellsville Dec. 13, 1941, to the late Harvey A. and Dorothy Kroskey McCauley, where he spent most of his life.
Mr. McCauley is a graduate of Wellsville High School Class of 1959. He spent from 1959 to 1968 in the U.S. Navy, serving two tours in Vietnam. He also is a member of the Wellsville American Legion Post 70 and the Wellsville VFW post 5647.
He is survive by his wife, Mary Ann Santimarino McCauley of Berea, Ky.; also three loving children, James E McCauley Jr. and his wife Melissa of East Liverpool, David L. Flara and his wife Charlene of Chester, Md., and Jennifer E. Robbins and her husband Michael of Westminister, Md.; a brother, Harvey McCauley of Wellsville; two sisters, Saundra White and her husband Harlan of Arizona and Dorothy Rae Lynn and her husband Andrew of Clearwater, Fla.; and four beloved grandchildren, Kara Marie Robbins, Cassandra Lee Robbins, DeAnna Flara and David L. E. Flara.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Robert McCauley, and a sister, Sally Patterson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2003, at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Home, Rev. Paul Sturm will be officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, where full military honors will be accorded by the Tri-State Burial Group.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Wellsville from 6 to 8 tonight.
