Carolyn A. Ketchum
Died Feb. 9, 2004
WELLSVILLE – Carolyn A. Ketchum, 69, died peacefully Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at home on the corner acre of her family farm where she lived her entire life.
She was born March 22, 1934, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late M. Kenneth and Kathryn (Henry) Mick.
Carolyn was a lifelong, very active member of the Yellow Creed Presbyterian Church, where she was the building fund treasurer for many years. She retired in 2000 from her passion as cook for Fairview Elementary School after 35 years.
Survivors include her husband, James B. Ketchum, whom she married in July of 1950; two daughters, Karen Vincent and her husband Robert of Wellsville and Jamie Spence and her husband Brady of North Canton; two sons, Jeff Ketchum and his wife Linda of Wellsville and Greg Ketchum and his wife Jeanna of Kalamazoo, Mich.; three brothers, Donald Mick of East Liverpool, Thomas Mick of Newton Falls and John Mick; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville, with the rev. William Betteridge officiating.
Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Cemetery, Wellsville.
The family requests memorial tributes take the form of donations to the building fund for Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church, 17365 St. Rt. 45, Wellsville, Ohio 43968 or the Hospice of the Valley, 15898 St. Clair Ave., East Liverpool, Oh 43920.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
