Maxine DeLauder Obituary

Maxine DeLauder
Died Feb. 3, 2004

WELLSVILLE – Our loving mother, grandmother and friend, Maxine DeLauder, has gone to be with our Lord and Savior on Feb. 3, 2004.
She was born April 6, 1932, in Midkiff, W Va. She was the daughter of the late Curtis and Myrtle Wellman Yeager.
Maxine had many jobs in her life, but the one she loved the most was her time as a cook at Adkins Convalescent Home in East Liverpool. She retired in 1986.
She was preceded in death by three ex-husbands, Bob Byers, Kenneth Hescht and Dorman Deluder. Also preceding her were a brother, Strother Yeager; two sisters, Mildred Yeager and Opal Owens; and a grandson, Christopher DeLauder.
She is survived by all of those who loved her dearly; her ex-husband and best friend, Jack Reed; three daughters, Deborah Jones and Sondra Heschtof Wellsville and Kathy delauder of Statesville, N. C.; five stepdaughters, Kelly Shenton, Paula Delauder and Leona Reed of Wellsville, Gretchen Heckathorn of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Marla Reed of Cleveland, Two stepsons, Kevin DeLauder of Lisbon and John Reed of Huston, Texas; 13 grandchildren, Renae Adkins, Eric Delauder, Trisha (Roe) Osborn, Amber (Moody) Short, Shaun DeLauder, Jeffery Roe, Joshua Brown, Shelsea Shenton, Brittney Shenton, Ashley Shenton, Kelly Reed and Michelle Watson of Wellsville and Abigail Heckathorn of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; 14 great-grandchildren, Kira Roe, Gavin Osborn, Mercedes Jones, Nyasia Buzzard, Cynthia Buzzard, Tyler Benson, Shawn Benson, Ayson Moody, Kensley Short, Jeffery Roe III, Jordan Roe Russell, Brenna Brown and Nikayla Edgell, all of Wellsville, and Halley DeLauder Norton of Chester; four sisters, Vivian Kahn of Jacksonville, Fla., and Joan Hughes, Wilma Anderson and Betty Wright of East Liverpool; a brother, Bob Yeager of Wellsville; and her beloved companion, her dog “Angel.”
Calling hours will be held from noon to 2 and 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville. Friends and family are welcome.
Funeral services will start at 6 p.m. the same evening, Officiating the services will be her daughter, Kathy DeLauder.
