Benjamin Smith
Died Dec. 17, 2003

ELKTON – Benjamin F. “Ben” Smith, 83, of state Route 154, died at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, at home following a brief illness.
He was born May 24, 1920, in East Liverpool, a son of the late John Neboe and Ada Crawford Smith.
He worked in the heavy machine maintenance department at NRM in Columbiana until his retirement. He was a memberof the Rogers Assembly of God Church and served with the U. S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Miriam Schnader Smith; two daughters, Joan Mattern of East Liverpool and Margaret Singleton of Rogers; three sons, Ron Smith of Lisbon, Larry Smith of Columbiana and Rev. Dennis Smith of Lebanon, Mo.;’ a brother , Leonard Smith of Canton; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Freida Smith.
Pastor Paul R. Wright and Rev. Dennis Smith will conduct services at 11 a.m. Monday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home. Full military honors will be accorded at the funeral home. Private burial will follow at Lisbon Cemetery.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the services Monday at the funeral home.
