Burnice “Bud” E. Southall

EAST LIVERPOOL – Burnice “Bud” E. Southall, 74, of Moore Street Died at 11:47 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, at his home following a brief illness.
Born in East Liverpool April 19, 1929, son of William J. and Irene Carey Southall, he was a lifetime member of Sheridan A.M.E. Church.
A lifelong resident of the area, he served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
A driver for CARTS, previously he had worked in the coke plant of the former Crucible Steel. Co.
His wife, Helen E. Southall, died Sept. 11, 1993. A son, Elwood “Sonny” Williams; a sister, Delores Wright; and a brother, Charles Southall, also preceded him in death.
Three daughters, Katherine “Susie” Williams of East Liverpool, Eleanor Williams of Wellsville and Mrs. Eddie (Helen Louise) Pack of East Liverpool, and three sons, George Williams and his companion, Doris Adams of East Liverpool, Edward “Eddie” Williams and his wife, Joyce of Kentucky, and William “Bill” Williams and his wife, Ruth of East Liverpool survive.
Two sisters, Lucille Curtis of East Liverpool and Mrs. Henry (Yvonne) Bankston of Atlanta, also survive along with a brother, Dan Southall of Detroit.
Additionally, there are 16 grandchildren, Paul and Darlene Williams, Lynn Marrero, Jason and Jada Pack, Junior, Kenny and Cassie Williams, Linda Gregg, Ryan Williams, Anthony Ray, ‘betty Lynn Adams, Mary Elizabeth and Bill Williams, Nikki an RJ Crow and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services are planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Dawson Funeral Home and Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sheridan A. M. E. Church on Ninth Street.
Family and friends will gather back at the residence on Moore Street immediately following the services.
