MRS. CLARA MERCER
NEW CUMBERLAND - Mrs. Clara Esther Mercer, 55, Chester street, New Cumberland died at the Weirton General Hospital at 7:20 p.m. Thursday.
She had been a patient for 10 days. she was born January 2, 19003 in New Cumberland daughter of the late Robert and Mary Barton Heffner.
She was a member of the Nazarene Church of New Cumberland and is survived by; her husband, Dewey, and sons Doral of Santa Maria, California, Dwight,Dwyane (sic), Robert and Kenneth at home; daughters Mrs. John Delekta of Pughtown, Mrs. Hubert Wynn of Santa Maria and Mary Louise and Donna at home, five grand children; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Whipkey of Wellsville, Ohio, three brothers, Roy Heffner of Los Angeles, California, John Heffner of East Liverpool and Henry Heffner of New Cumberland.
Funeral services will be from the Stewart and Turley Funeral Home in New Cumberland Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. George Stewart of the Nazarene church officiating.
Burial will be in the Flatts (sic) cemetery in Pughtown. Friends may call at the funeral home anytime.
