Jacob Russell Baker, 67, R. D. 1, New Cumberland, died today at 2:10 a.m. in the Weirton General hospital. He has been seriously ill the past two weeks.

Mr. Baker was born October 11, 1890 in Middlebourne, Tyler county, W. Va., the son of the late Samuel and Mary Fox Baker. He has resided in New Cumberland two years, going there from Middlebourne.

Mr. Baker married the late Harter Angle who died March 28, 1945 in 1912 in Middlebourne. He was of Methodist faith and was employed as a field roustabout in the oil fields.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mary Ida Malone, Weirton; two sons, Russell Ernest Baker, Levensburg, Ohio; Harold James Baker, New Cumberland; one brother, William Baker, East Liverpool, Ohio, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. One great grandchild preceded him in death.

Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the Steel and Wolfe Funeral home with Rev. Earl G. Hissom officiating. Burial will be made in the Leasures Chapel cemetery in Kidwell, W. Va.

The family will receive friends in the funeral home after 8 p.m. today.
