EAST PALESTINE – Dorothy Istnick McCarthy, 78, of Grandview Ave., died at 6:28 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at the Kindred Hospital in Beaver, Pa.
She was born Feb. 21, 1925, in East Palestine, a daughter of the late James and Mersada Sinclair McCready.
She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Emil Istnick.
She is survived by her second husband, James “Red” McCarthy; a daughter, Cathy Donadio of Warren; a son, Rick Istnick of East Palestine; a sister, Roberta Hawkins of Columbiana; and five grandchildren.
Rev. John P. Tully will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Glenview Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
