Clara B. Bobalik, 84, of Chester and formerly of Wellsville, passed away on Saturday March 19, 2011 at Forbes Hospice in Pittsburgh following brief illness.
A daughter of the late Frank and Martha Derda Juszczak, Clara was born on December I, 1926 in Congo near Newell.
Clara worked 40 years as a registered nurse, retiring from the obstetrics department at East Liverpool City Hospital where her primary duties were labor and delivery. After retirement she worked briefly as an RN in the home health field.
A member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chester, she was a member and past president of the Sacred Heart Ladies Guild.
She received her nursing degree from the East Liverpool City Hospital School of Nursing.
Her husband, John “Fritz” Bobalik preceded her in death along with three brothers, Joseph, Walter and Cas Juszczak.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Sue Bobalik of Baden, PA; two sons, John (Beth) Bobalik of East Liverpool and Steve (Deb Zorn) Bobalik of Austintown; her sister-in-law whom she actually referred to as her sister, Fran Juszaczak of Chester; four grandchildren, David, Andrew, Meredith, and Ali Bobalik, and many nieces and nephews.
Rev. Father Eric Antwi presided for a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, March 22m 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred heart Catholic Church. Interment at Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville.
