Mrs. Sarah Hooper

NEW CUMBERLAND - Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Hooper, 83, of Second avenue, died at 9:30 p. m. Thursday in the Grigsby Nursing Home after two months illness. She was born on February 18, 1872 in New Matamoras, O., daughter of the late Vatch and Nancy Ward Moore and was a resident of New Cumberland for 69 years.

Survivors are: three daughters, Mrs. Charles Saffle, Crosscreek, W. Va., Mrs. Hamilton Stewart, Steubenville, and Mrs. Joseph Huckestein, Houston, Tex.; sons, Earl of Pughtown, and Evert of New Cumberland; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. William Demharter of Canal Fulton, O.

Friends will be received in the Fields Funeral Home after 7 p. m. today. Services will be held in the chapel Sunday 2 p. m. with the Rev. Kenneth Fordyce in charge. Burial will be in the New Cumberland Cemetery.
