Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the J. T. Anderson Jr. Funeral HOme, 205 College Ave., Beaver, for John William Cairns, 82, of the Midland Beaver Rd., Industry.
He died Saturday morning at Rochester General Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Cairns was born Aug. 2, 1889, a son of Robert and helen Husser Cairns. He had resided in INdustry most of his lifetime. He was a retired businessman and steelworker, having been employed at the Midland Crucible Steel Division of Colt Industries. He was a member of the former Evangelical United Brethren Church of Industry.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lyda Palmer Cairns, at home, a son, Clifford W. Cairns of Ontario, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Alan (Ruth) Reynolds and Mrs. Marie McCombs, both of Industry RD 1, and Mrs. Loouis (Esther Mae) Hechstrasser of Ship Bottom, N. J.; a sister, Mrs. Linda Sullivan of Industry, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pastor Thomas Bonomo of the Midland Heights Christian Missionary Alliance Church will officate at the Tuesday services. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
