BRANCH, LOUIS J. “LOU”, 83, of Wellsburg, WV, died November 19, 2001, in Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born April 11, 1918, in Wellsburg, WV, a son of the late Weir and Mary Dominica DiVihoria Branch. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Beech Bottom Plant; an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Wellsburg, WV. He was also a member of the Wellsburg American Legion Post No. 34. in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Alfred, Oliver and Perry Branch; and three sisters, Mary Jane Abbonnizzio, Margaret Durante and Rose D’Andre. Surviving are his wife, Clara L. Capp Branch, whom he married on September 15, 1950; a son, Mark Branch and his wife, Janet of Library, PA; a daughter, Mrs. Jeff “Cheryl” Bland of Wellsburg; four sisters, Virginia Morelli of Steubenville, Ohio, Mrs. Mike “Irene” Lupinetti of Wellsburg and Mrs. Paul ‘Norma” DeWitt of Indianapolis, Ind.; six grandchildren, James M. and John L. Branch of Library, PA and Jessica Branch, also of Library, PA, Cody, Christa and Cassidy Bland, all of Wellsburg. Arrangements made by Reasner Funeral Home, Charles St., Wellsburg, WV. Interment in Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV. Full Military graveside services will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Memorial Squad.
