Bertha H. Mauk, 88

EAST LIVERPOOL -- Bertha H. Mauk, 88, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at Nentwick Convalescent Home.

She was born Nov. 24, 1914, a daughter of the late Amos and Cora Taylor Errett.

Mrs. Mauk retied as a teacher from the Hancock County School System. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and was Christian by faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry F. Mauk, and a brother, Davie Errett.

Surviving is a son, Sam Mauk and his wife, Barbara of Wintersville, Ohio; a sister, Lois Poorman of Fort Myers, Fla.; and granddaughters, Regan Mauk and Hilary Steinmiller.

The Rev. Debra Dague of the First Methodist Church of Chester will conduct the services Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at 11:30 a.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may visit Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
