Sarah Lou Miller, 74
CHESTER -- Sarah Lou Miller, 74, of Florida Avenue died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept, 23, 1994, at the Roslyn Rehab Center of Glenside, Pa., following a brief illness.
She was born March 20, 1920, in Clinton, W. Va., a daughter of the lade D. C. And Anna DeVaughn Grewell.
She lived in Chester since 1937 and was a school teacher in Hancock County Schools before retiring in 1976. she graduated from Chester High School and West Liberty Teachers College. She did graduate work at University of Pittsburgh. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Chester Arts Club and West Virginia Retired Teachers Association.
Her husband, Standish L. “Red” Miller, whom she married Dec. 20, 1947, died March 22, 1992.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Miller of Glenside and Richard Miller of Columbus, Ga.; two brothers, Jack Grewell of Winder, Ga., and Charles Grewell of Amarillo, Texas; and four grandchildren.
The Rev. James Dumire will conduct services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Prall Cemetery at West Liberty.
Friends may call at the Arner Funeral Chapel Tuesday afternoon and evening and tat the church an hour before the services.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Lynn Murray Memorial Library or to the church.
