Burnett Funeral

George W. Burnett, of Wintersville, is dead at the age of 76 years. Death was due to heart disease, from which the deceased had been a sufferer for several months. He is survived by his wife and five children, Mrs. H. A. Pittinger, of New Somerset; Mrs. J. F. Clark, of Osage; Mrs. R. L. McClellan, of Wintersville, and John W., James and Sheridan Burnett, of Wintersville.

The deceased lived in Wellsville for a number of years and conducted a meat market a the corner of Center avenue and Fourteenth street. Mr. Burnett’s first wife was Miss Elixabeth McLean. She died about 35 years ago. His second wife, who survives was Miss Jane Ryand.

The funeral will be held at 10 o’clock this morning form the family residence conducted by the Rev. Mr. Bowers. Short services will also be held from Mt. Tabor Methodist Episcopal church, in which cemetery interment will be made.
