Maud Weaver Meets Horrible Death in Pittsburg Hotel
Maud Weaver, a sister of Mrs. Fred Ray of this city, met death in a horrible manner in the Fort Pitt hotel, Pittsburg, on Sunday, (Nov. 4, 1906) being decapitated by an elevator. The accident occurred at
Miss Weaver, who was employed as a household at the hotel, thrust her head through an opening in the gate of the elevator and the descending elevator severed nearly all of her head, which fell into the basement.
Miss Weaver had spent some time in Wellsville and was well known here. Fred Ray, her brother-in-law, committed suicide in the Lewis saloon, this city, last month. He was a son of Mrs. Julia Dennis.
