Sherry Jackson Paris, 40, of New Cumberland passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008.

She was born January 7, 1968, a daughter of John and Wanda (Blankenship) Showalter of New Cumberland. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Jody Showalter and a brother-in-law, Kevin Powell.

Besides her parents, she is survived by three daughters, Courtney Paris, Kailene Glover and Khadynce, all of New Cumberland; 2 sisters, Barbara Settle and husband, Rob of Wheeling, Teresa Powell and fiancé Harold Theiss of New Cumberland; a brother, John "Jay" Showalter and wife Shannon of New Cumberland, 5 nieces Tierra (Potts) Rawson, Haley Powell, Tanya Showalter, Paige Settle and Halie Colson; 4 nephews, Scott Showalter, Tyler Settle, Dylan Powell and Canyon Colson; and a great niece, Serenity Rawson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Newell Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home with Pastor Merkel Fernbaught Jr. officiating. Interment will be held privately at the New Cumberland cemetery.
