EAST PALESTINE – Harry Pickett, 58, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006, at his residence, following a lengthy illness.
He was born Dec. 31, 1947, in Salem, a son of the late Walter and Roberta Taggart Pickett.
He was employed with Liverpool Freight as a dispatcher before retiring and was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Bird Pickett, a son, Jeffrey Pickett of East Palestine; a daughter, Tammy Louthan of East Palestine; two brothers, G. Michael Pickett of Meadows, Texas and Bill Slaughter of East Palestine; three sisters, Jane Klemm of Youngstown, Cathy Pappas of Wellsville and Joanne Daly of Indiana ; and six grandchildren.
Rev. A. Voorhis will conduct the services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 7-9 p.m. today and from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday.
