RICHMOND, Ohio – Eleanor Marie Bauman Dillon of Richmond died Nov. 27, 2004 at her home of natural causes.
She was born Feb. 19, 1925 in New Matamoras, Ohio, daughter of the late Leonard I. And Rowena V. Justice Bauman.
Eleanor was a graduate of Wellsburg High School and North Wheeling School of Nursing.
She was a member of the Nurse Cadet Corp. during WWII. Eleanor was a supervisor at the former Weirton General Hospital; a private duty nurse in the Wheeling area for many years and served as a volunteer nurse at Jeffco Workshop and School of Bright Promise. Eleanor was a member of Wintersville Church of Christ and the Womens Fellowship.
Preceding Eleanor in death was her beloved husband, Arthur Dillon on May 11, 2000.
Eleanor is survived by two sisters, Betty Jane Lyle of Tuscon, Ariz. And Marjorie (husband Robert) Porter of Wintersville, Ohio; brother, Robert L. (wife Ethel) Campbell of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews. Eleanor walued her family and many friends and will be missed by then.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Minister Steve Alexander officiating. Burial at Richmond Union Cemetery.

He was born March 14, 1919, in Orient, Pa., a son of the late John and Anna Billcheck Mehalik.
He was a member of ST. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, co-owner of Jo L Bakery Shop, retired employee of the 54 Inch Electrical Department at Weirton Steel Division, an Army veteran of World War Ii, and a member of the VFW and the 25-year Club.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Catherine Zdinak Mehalik’ three sons, Joseph M., Robert J. and David P., all at home; a daughter, Kathy Jo at home; two brothers, Paul of Baltimore, Md. And George of Steubenville; two sisters, Mrs. George (Edith) Martin of Weirton and Mrs. Charles (Irene) Cooper of Florida.
Friends will be received at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today and Tuesday, where final blessing service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and Divine Liturgy of Requiem at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church with Msgr. Andrew Pataki as celebrant. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, retired employee of the Steel Works Department, Weirton Steel Division with 39 years service, member of the 25-year Club and the Senior Bowling League.
