EAST PALESTINE, Dec. 11 – Homer Beight, 55, lifelong resident, died Friday night in Salem City Hospital, which he entered the first of the week for observation.
He was born here June 2, 1893, the son of Elias and Rebecca Painter Beight, and was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the American Legion.
He is survived by two brothers, Edward Beight of East Palestine, and Oliver Beight of Los Angeles, and two sisters, Mrs. Mayme Sheets and Mrs. Lulu Van Fossen, both of East Palestine.
Services will be held at the Van Dyke Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 by Rev. Byron Fruit. Burial will be in Glenview Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday afternoon and night and Monday night at the funeral home.
