NEW CUMBERLAND – Services will be held this afternoon for Charles H. Hall, 66, of RD 3, who died Saturday morning at Akron General Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Hall was born Jan. 6, 1912, in New Martinsville, a son of Henry and Stella Hall.
He was retired from the steel works machine shop of the Weirton Steel Division of the National Steel Corp.
Besides his widow, Mrs. Margaret Pethtel Hall, survivors include a son, Charles Hall of Follansbee; five daughters, Mrs. Sonja Varner of Charleston, W. Va., Mrs. Linda Tate of New Cumberland RD 1, Mrs. Gretchen Branum of Steubenville, Miss Crystle Hall, Miss Cindy Hall and Miss Vala Hall, all of New Cumberland RD 3, three sisters, Mrs. Vashtey Staley of Middlebourne, W. Va., Mrs. Hazel Flueharty of New Martinsville and Opal of New York, and 5 grandchildren.
The rites were scheduled today at 2 p.m. from the Turley Funeral Home here by the Rev. Allen S. Fields. Burial will be in New Cumberland Cemetery.
